Education at Aspire |
| In 2011 Aspire is offering four educational services: | |
These are separate from Aspire's bands. However, they do complement participation in these activities for those who wish to develop their skills. All of these services are offered free of charge. At Aspire we want to encourage and support people to develop their skills. Personal coaches Aspire will make available a personal coach at no charge. Your coach will give you technical advice in your instrument, and will help you to set goals.
The coaching, combos and courses take place between 6:30 and 7:25pm on Monday evenings - prior to band practices. So you can take advantage of them without interfering with your band rehearsals. Combos Not everything at Aspire needs to be run by its staff. At Aspire we want to encourage the development of a community of musicians who can make music together as they like. So, in 2012, as well as the three bands that Aspire staff will be leading, Aspire is supporting small groups of Aspire members who wish to organise themselves.
Aspire make available a practice room and equipment free of charge between 6:00 and 7:25pm each Monday. We can also provide charts, advice and opportunities to perform if required. The ball is in your court. Video library Aspire has acquired a number of instructional DVDs on a range of musical performance topics. Aspire members can borrow these DVDs from Aspire's lending library.
