This event, organised by the Khandallah Arts Theatre Inc., will raise funds for Khandallah Town Hall Upgrade and the Aspire Big Band. It will also feature the Aspire Big Band, who recently returned from successful performances at Napier's Deco Decanted Festival.

The programme will showcase music of five of the great big bands:

• Benny Goodman
• Duke Ellington
• Glenn Miller
• Artie Shaw
• Count Basie

We will then journey through the history of jazz, from the Charleston of the early 20s, through the 30s, 40s, and 50s, before finishing up with a 2010 original written especially for the Aspire Big Band.

Come and enjoy the music or put on your dancing shoes, because nothing beats live big band music.
